Imagine in the future, a brain controlled car comes with your kid’s happy meal. Your excited little tyke sticks a wireless disposable sensor to their forehead and for the next several days goes about “learning” how to control the car using his thoughts. How fun?
What you were not made aware of are the scientists at the McDonald’s Research Institute that spent billions of dollars and decades identifying where in the brain the Micky D’s craving center is located.
It just so happens that the same area your kid is strengthening to learn to use the car is the same area that makes him crave a cheeseburger. You have no idea why he starts becoming like an addict without a fix when he does not get to play with his car, or have a happy meal. The link is too far removed to understand the cause and effect.
Bottom Line: Brain controlled electronic devices are bad for your brain, and will cause you unforeseen problems.
Do not control external toys with your brain.
Please DO NOT let kids use these products long term (not more then 3 times a week, and less then 20 minutes per day). We do not know enough about the structure and function of the brain to be using this kind of stuff and an entire new mental health epidemic is going to arise due to these products. It will take decades before a link is officially acknowledged.
